Living in Colorado, it’s no surprise that getting outdoors is a way of life. Hiking, camping, and skiing are must-do activities for most, but up until recently, I hadn’t checked out one of the state’s most iconic spots—Garden of the Gods. Now that I’ve finally made it, I’ve got the photos to prove it! It took me so long to visit, these photos might as well be vintage. But as a designer, I love playing around with photos, and a little tint or filter can make a huge difference in capturing the mood.
Some effects are totally cheesy, but that’s part of the fun—just a small change in color or adding a vignette can transport you to a different time. It’s a cool reminder of how design techniques can make photography feel like it’s from a specific decade, turning simple hiking shots into a brand-worthy photo set. Whether you’re into nature photography, design, or just love outdoor adventure, these pics capture the beauty of Garden of the Gods in a playful and creative way.
